The Halvorsen Company is a manufacturer of custom carbon, stainless and alloy ASME Code pressure vessels, fired and unfired, process tanks and storage tanks, as well as steam drums, ammonia tanks, deaerators, custom heat exchangers, flash and blowdown tanks. We also produce rolled and welded cylinders and cones with A.S.M.E. partial data reports. We specialize in heavy plate fabrication and offer plate flattening and straightening services.
We supply our customers with various types of high quality carbon, stainless and alloy plate fabrications. We process a variety of steel plate types and grades. The expertise we offer at our fabricating facility in Garfield Heights, Ohio includes working with carbon, stainless, steel alloy, high-nickel alloy, HSLA, PVQ Steel Plate, Military Grade Steel Plate (MIL-SPEC), Abrasion Resistant (400 & 500 Bhn) Plate.

Equipment:
- 2-car bottom furnaces, 1- electric, 1 gas fired with capacity of 9' x 9' x 17'6" to 100,000 lbs. Furnaces for stress relieving, annealing and normalizing.
- Welding and cutting, S.A.W., G.M.A.W., G.T.A.W., S.M.A.W., positioners to 100,000 lbs. capacity, welding manipulators to 12' x12' capacity.
- 4 plate bending rolls with capacities through 4 1/2" thick x 12'8" long. Hot rolling as required through 4 1/2" thick.
- 4 hydraulic press brakes with capacity of 600 tons through 2,000 tons. Capacities through 6" thick x 30' long.
- Plate straightening and flattening through 12" thick.
