Hot and Cold Plate Rolling and Forming

Hot and Cold Rolling and Forming of Steel Plate Products

At The Halvorsen Company, we can bend, form, roll and fabricate steel and alloy plate, both “hot” and “cold”, depending on thickness and physical configurations. We work in carbon steel, carbon alloy, all stainless and nickel alloys, aluminum, copper, and wear resistant alloys such as formable AR 400, 450, 500, and carbide overlay. We also form, weld and fabricate the following types of steel plate; 304/304L stainless steel, 310/310S stainless steel, 316/316L stainless steel, 321/321H stainless steel, 347/347H stainless steel, A36 steel, SA516-70 steel, SA517 steel and T1/PVQ steel.

Halvorsen owns and operates 4 hydraulic presses with capacities that range from 600ton through our state of the art 2000 ton x 30’ CNC press brake. With complimentary equipment, such as electric and gas car bottom furnaces, and a custom slot furnace, our team of expert fabrication personnel can offer precise forming tolerances, allowing better fit up and finished components. Our capacity to hot form heavier sections allows us to offer forming and bending of plates up to 8” thick, and rolling of plate up to 4-1/2” thick and 12’-6” wide, depending on thickness and configuration.

To talk to us about our hot and cold bending, rolling and forming capabilities and services, please call 1-800-423-7080 and ask for Justin Frick, or a Sales Engineer, or email to sales@halvorsenusa.com.

The Halvorsen Company will produce cylinders, both rolled and tacked and fully welded with ASME documentation, rolled and formed sections, cone developments that we, as an added service, will form either hot or cold, depending on material requirements, and then trim and trial fit to ensure accuracy and ease of production once the components reach our customer’s shop.
