The Halvorsen Company provides stainless steel plate fabricating, processing, forming, welding, rolling, cutting and bending services. We fabricate, straighten and flatten 303, 310, 304/304L, 309, 316/316L, 321, 347, 416, 420, 430, 440C and other types of 300 and 400 series stainless steel. We fabricate segments, cylinders, cones and other heavy duty stainless steel industrial components from different types of corrosion resistant, rust resistant, chemical and heat resistant stainless steel and alloy plate at our facilities in Cleveland, Ohio. Usually we work with stainless steel plate, but occasionally we will use stainless steel squares, flats and bars to fabricate parts, equipment and components for our customers. We focus on heavy duty steel forming and processing projects using stainless steel that is 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2, 1 inch, 2 inch or larger in width.

To submit a design or CAD drawing, request a quote or submit an RFQ, ask a sales engineer a question, discuss your current project, place a stainless steel fabrication order or to schedule a tour of our facilities, please call 1-800-423-7080 and ask for Justin Frick or a Sales Engineer or email sales@halvorsenusa.com.

The Halvorsen Company has extensive experience fabricating and processing stainless steel plate. We also design, engineer and build a variety of custom and standard high quality close tolerance components, products, equipment, ASME pressure vessels, rolled and welded cylinders and cones, parts and steel section segments from stainless steel plate. We can hot form, cold form, cut, bend, roll and press brake form stainless steel plate.

We specialize in processing, forming and fabricating 304, 304L, 316 and 316L stainless plate. 304 and 304L are frequently used to fabricate cones, cylinders, segments and shapes for industrial applications because it is a widely used grade of austenitic grade.

Austenitic grades of stainless steel such as 304 and 304L are alloys containing chrome, nickel, carbon, manganese and silicon. These types of alloys are not hardenable through heat treatment and they offer good corrosion resistance to a wide variety of chemicals and industrial atmospheres. Grade 304 and 304L are generally considered to be non-magnetic but can become slightly magnetic if they are cold formed.

Grade 316 and 316L are common types of stainless steel fabricated at The Halvorsen Company facilities in Cleveland, Ohio. Our customers choose this steel because of it’s superior corrosion resistance qualities as compared to other chrome nickel steels. Our customers in the marine industries contract with The Halvorsen Company to fabricate and process components from 316 and 316L stainless steel. We also have a large number of clients that hire us to fabricate parts and components that will be used for chemical,  petrochemical and pulp and paper processing equipment which are frequently exposed to chemical corrodents.

High quality workmanship, meeting delivery schedules and value are important at The Halvorsen Company. Our stainless steel metalworking experience, custom industrial equipment fabrication services, specialized equipment, heavy steel fabrication capabilities, ASME code pressure vessel design, engineering and manufacturing services are just a few of the reasons why our customers rely on Halvorsen to complete their stainless steel fabrication projects on time.
