The Halvorsen Company uses a variety of plate rolling machines to roll steel plate and plate steel. We use roll bending machines to roll steel from 3/8″ thick to 4 1/2″ thick. We also use roll bending machines to roll metal and steel up to 12′ 8″ long.  We are one of the leading steel plate rolling companies in the Midwest region of the United States. We are capable of forming round shapes, steel cylinders, steel cones, steel segments, pressure vessel shells and conical shapes. Our production facilities in Cleveland, Ohio have the capability to roll a wide variety of diameters for steel and alloy cones, cylinders, gear blanks, heavy weldments, transitions and shells.

We use heavy capacity plate rolls to manufacture A.S.M.E. code vessels and tanks, pressure vessels, steel and alloy rings, industrial component parts, atmospheric tanks, partial data cylinders, flash drums, steam drums and settler vessels. We use a three-roll initial pinch to roll steel, alloy and metal. This 3-roll pinch type plate roll, which is also called a 3 roll initial pinch plate bending roll, is used to custom roll form small to large diameter steel cylinder segments, pressure vessels and storage tank shells for oil and gas refineries that we serve. We are considered one of the most reliable custom metal roll forming companies in the steel fabrication industry. We are experts at in the roll bending process and have years of experience producing cylindrical shaped components from steel plate, alloy plate and other metals.

Materials that we roll include carbon steel, clad material, HARDOX® wear plate, stainless steel, high-strength alloy steel, abrasion resistant steel, non-ferrous materials, PVQ steel, T1 steel and other pressure vessel materials, aluminum, high strength steel and abrasion resistant plate. We also use a 3 roll pyramid roll to provide precision plate rolling services to produce precise high quality components for our OEM customers and job shop construction projects. We offer fast turn around times for our steel plate rolling services.
