Our skilled steel plate rolling operators and technicians are roll bending process and plate forming experts. Our personnel understand the properties, chemical composition, yield strengths, springback factors, break points, thickness tolerances, hardness, tensile strengths and other work-hardening characteristics of different grades, gauges and types of material and how the plate rolling process affects these properties. Some of our operators have been doing it for decades and have become experts at setting roll position configurations, adjusting pinching pressures and controlling the forming pressure applied to steel plates as they pass through a roll system which forms steel plate into the specified shape.

Our certified metal forming process can roll different types of metal stock from 3/8 inches to 4 1/2 inches thick and up to 12’ 8″ long. We can roll and form thick or wide steel plate and provide secondary services such as welding, heat treating, engineering and metallurgical services. Plate Rolling, Roll Bending, Press Brake Forming and Steel Plate Fabrication Equipment:

We use a three-roll initial pinch to roll steel, alloy and metal. This 3-roll pinch type plate roll, which is also called a 3 roll initial pinch plate bending roll, is used to custom roll form small to large diameter cylinder segments, custom shapes and segments. Halvorsen owns and operates a total of five plate rolls to accommodate your plate rolling needs.
