Plate Forming

Halvorsen USA operates several hydraulic press brakes, with capacity to 2000 tons x 30’ with CNC controls. We can cold or hot form your sections to precise tolerances, with precision forming experience to 8” thick. We specialize in plate forming, trimming, fitting and welding cones, both concentric and eccentric. (ASME Certified welding) We will also form, trim, trial fit and ship cone and cylinder sections to you for your in house or field welding.

We work in carbon steel, carbon alloys, chrome-moly, stainless, nickel, nickel alloys (with stainless jacketed punches to avoid contamination)

We’ve been forming and bending steel since 1955. Our experience, heavy steel fabrication facilities, and a wide variety of dies allow us to form and manufacture many different types of custom components, segments and parts for our clients. Whenever possible we reduce the cost of metal fabrications by using our long press brakes to form components in one piece, which eliminates welding and assembly costs.
