Large, Heavy Steel, Alloy and Metal Weldment Fabrication, Design and Assembly Services – Call 1-800-423-7080 for a Quote
The Halvorsen Company is experienced in producing large, heavy and complex weldments used in heavy machinery and heavy equipment industries. We fabricate a wide variety of units by welding an assembly of steel or metal pieces together. We are experts at joining two or more steels, alloy or metal pieces into one weldment assembly. Our engineers are proficient at weldment assembly design.
If you are interested in submitting a weldment drawing package, weldment design or would like to talk to us about our steel and plate weldment fabrication services, call 1-800-423-7080 and ask for Justin Frick or a Sales Engineer or email sales@halvorsenusa.com. Our large fabrication shop provides the material sourcing, design and engineering knowledge, CAD drawings, heavy duty large scale welding expertise, heavy plate forming, plate rolling, machining, grinding, stress relieving, blasting, painting or powder coating, assembly and inspection to make us a one stop shop for large industrial weldment needs.
The unit pictured below was produced as the main body section for a hydraulic press and measures approximately 192” x 156” x 32” and made from 3” thick Carbon Steel plate. Halvorsen has the ability to confirm machined weldments with our in-house portable CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) accurate to .003” over 12’. This will ensure proper fit-up to mating components sourced by the customer or final machine assembler.
We use SOLIDWORKS 3D and AUTOCAD to simplify the design and fabrication of welded components, frames, enclosures, structures and bases that form the backbone of products developed in many industries.
Our welding techniques include:
- Automatic Welding
- Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
- Semi-Automatic Welding
- Flux-core Welding (FCAW)
- Manual Welding
- MIG Welding (GMAW)
- TIG Welding (GTAW)
- Stick Electrode Welding (SMAW)
Since 1955, The Halvorsen Company has been an ASME code certificate holder of the following stamps: “U”, “S”, and National Board “R”.
- Section VIII Div. 1 of the ASME code
- Section I of the ASME code
- Section IX of the ASME code
- AWS D 1.1
- API 650
